Ernesto Levy has been appointed senior vice president, Convenience business area and a member of the corporate executive team at Suominen Corporation, effective October 20, 2015. Ernesto Levy has an impressive track record in leading consumer brand organizations such as Novartis and Procter & Gamble and driving growth of well know global brands such as Pantene, Crest/Oral-B and Voltaren. Most recently, Mr. Levy acted as vice president, head of marketing Americas at Novartis Consumer Health. Earlier, he held several managerial and executive positions at Procter & Gamble, having being responsible for several consumer product portfolios in the U.S. and Mexico. Levy, a native of Colombia, is a US citizen and will report to Ms Nina Kopola, President & CEO of Suominen Corporation. “I am very delighted to have Ernesto Levy joining our team as the leader of the Convenience business area. Ernesto Levy has a wide-ranging experience and proven track record in growing businesses and building winning consumer brand portfolios. Moreover, he has demonstrated great ability and talent to lead multinational teams. His capabilities will bring complementary competencies to our leadership team, which will be valuable as we execute our growth strategy and move on towards our vision to be a market driven product leader,” says Nina Kopola, President & CEO of Suominen. “It is an honor to join Suominen Corporation and the Suominen Team. Suominen is in the midst of an impressive transformation to become the undisputed leader in nonwovens—not only for wiping but also in medical and hygiene applications,” Ernesto Levy. “I am excited to join a global team, intent in listening to input from consumers and customers to develop innovative products that will make nonwovens better for people.” Suominen’s Convenience business area supplies value-adding nonwovens for a variety of wiping applications as well as for the travel and catering market. The business area generated some 90% of Suominen’s net sales in 2014.
